Dr. Sharonda M. Meade MS, PhD, VMD
Dr. Sharonda Meade is a graduate of School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2010. Her pre-veterinary background includes a master of science and doctorate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Animal and Poultry Sciences and Veterinary Medical Sciences. She’s worked as a National Institute of Health post-doc fellow for the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials and NJMS-UMDNJ on projects including orthopedics and in-vivo compatibility studies in small mammals.
Following her completion of studies at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Meade worked in private practice for several years before returning to Penn to complete further training as an exotic animal intern. Her interests are diverse, but special interests include avian, small mammal and reptile patients for both internal medicine and surgery, as well as physical therapy for small animals and exotics.
When not seeing patients on the road or in the hospital, Dr. Meade enjoys quality time with her family, which includes a dog, two cats, a turtle, rabbit and bird.
