Nellie has surrounded herself with and cared for animals since she was a child. She always had a number of pets growing up including dogs, cats, chickens, lizards, turtles, and fish. Nearly all of her neighbors in Columbus, NJ were farmers and she frequently enjoyed assisting them care for their farm animals. Recently, Nellie rescued a young kitten on the side of Rt. 206, near her current residence. At the time, the kitten was malnourished and in poor health, but as of today, she is happy to report that Avocado is healthy and happy.

Nellie went to college for Dental Hygiene and assisting. During her studies, she organized several donation events for animal shelters in Trenton, NJ. In her spare time, Nellie enjoys hiking, attending Flyers games, participating in yoga classes, and viewing concerts in Philadelphia. Nellie is ecstatic to be a part of such an amazing, positive team at HousePaws!
