Vets in Training School Programs
Our mission is to use STEAM based lessons and live animals to learn about veterinary care and animal science. Through these unique, interactive, educational experiences, the Vets In Training Program cultivates the human-animal bond to encourage compassion, kindness, empowerment and responsibility.
Vets in Training Core Values are Compassion – fostering the innate ability of a child to develop empathy and selflessness. Engagement – Learning the power of positive interaction with each other, animals, and the larger community. Empowerment – through discovery, we are enhancing the leadership that children are born demonstrating. Service – allowing recognition that service is a daily part of life.
Children are fascinated by animals and display a deep passion for animal welfare and well-being at an early age. The HousePaws Vets in Training Program embraces the human-animal bond through interaction and education.
By providing hands-on experienced-based education to each student in the program, the children are empowered to explore the human-animal bond and the many facets of veterinary medicine.

Fall Classes at VIT
Fall 2025
Welcome to a new school year at Vets in Training! This fall our students will focus on veterinary care for each of our furry and scaly friends! They will update our animal wellness logs by doing regular check ups on each animal at VIT. We will also learn about different procedures done in an animal hospital and practice lots of fun medical techniques.
Fall Session 2 will be all about animal science as students will study endangered, exotic, and extinct creatures and brainstorm ways to help preserve habitats so our wild animal friends can thrive for years to come!
Give your children the gift of animal companionship, learning, and fun! Join our evening classes today! During each hour long class at VIT students spend 20 minutes just interacting with the animals in a fun and safe environment.
