Dr. Alexis D’Souza wanted to be a Veterinarian since middle school when she got Priscilla, her pet rabbit. Taking Priscilla for medical visits to the Veterinarian inspired Dr. D’Souza to become one herself. She pursued her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at Penn State University, and her VMD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. D’Souza is passionate about public health and exotic animals. She is also certified in small animal acupuncture through the Chi University in Florida and looks forward to incorporating this in her practice. Dr. D’Souza has two cats, Holly and Buster, who keep her very entertained. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, music, hiking and traveling. She is excited to be working at Housepaws and looks forward to meeting all her new patients, as well as seeing the white dog statue outside the hospital, dressed up each holiday.
