Session topics:

Week 1: All Creatures Great and Small.  All hands on deck!  This round floor discussion will allow the children to investigate, explore, and discover the individual animals of the learning center.  There will be a few animal surprises!

Week 2: Water Footprint. Water.  It is the most important resource we have.  Learn how much water you use every day: not just the water that comes out of the tap, but also the water it takes to make the food you eat, the energy you use and the products you buy.  Find your water footprint!

Week 3: Homeopathic Alternative Veterinary Medicine: Essential oils can be used as health and wellness support to pets. Join us as we learn about the different plants, shrubs, trees and flowers that have healing properties to support immune systems.

Week 4First Aid: Learning about first aid for pets is so important! Students will learn small tricks of the trade to be prepared for problems they might encounter their pets at home.

Week 5: Butterfly MetamorphosisMonarch Butterflies prefer laying eggs only on milkweed plants. Similarly, other butterfly species also have their own preferences when it comes to laying their eggs.

Week 6: FreshWater Ecology: Most of the earth is covered in water but very little of it is freshwater. We will learn about the ecology of freshwater environments and study the relationship the unique animals that live in freshwater have with their environments. We will observe new VIT animal friends during this week.

LIVE ANIMAL INTERACTION AT EACH VISIT!
