Dr. Bays grew up at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri before attending University of Missouri-Kansas City and majoring in biology. She then received her veterinary degree and master of public health degree from the University of Missouri. Dr. Bays practiced in Jefferson City, Missouri before moving to HouseHer professional interests include preventative medicine, low stress handling, geriatric medicine, and internal medicine. Dr. Bays has a soft spot for miniature schnauzers and senior pets. In her spare time, she likes to read fantasy books, garden, and adventure with her husband and miniature schnauzer, Aegon.
